There are many ways to get involved with the Black Student Coalition. We have four clubs and one program affiliated with the BSC. Find out more information about each of them below! Would you like to create a new club under the BSC? Contact BSC Coordinator, Nia Gipson, at gipsonn@wwu.edu.
The BSC also offers a host of programs such as Welcome B.L.A.C.K, Black History Month events, Juneteenth Celebration, What’s the Tea in BSC, and so much more. You can find more information about these programs on our events page.
Clubs
African Caribbean Club
The African Caribbean club is a place where anyone is welcome. We celebrate, appreciate, and love to share our culture.
Black Student Union
The Black Student Union aims to promote positive change, social consciousness, and provide a safe space for marginalized identities within the diaspora. They facilitate meaningful conversations, exposure to new perspectives, and support Black students in achieving personal and academic goals.
Soleil Magazine
Soleil's purpose is to be a fashion / beauty / art / lifestyle publication that uplifts BIPOC voices and highlights their contribution to today’s beauty trends and pop culture. We are still welcome to all, and we hope to be hub for creative energy.
