Dear WWU students,

Welcome back! I hope you had a chance to rest and spend time with loved ones over the break. We're in the final stretch of the year, and I'm so excited for everything we have coming up at La Plaza and beyond.

First, if you haven't already heard, La Plaza opened its doors in VU 507 this past September! We'd love to have you check out the space, grab a snack, chat with our staff, and be in community. La Plaza has become a central hub for our community, with Ethnic Student Center clubs like Latine Men in Higher Education (LMHE), Association of Latino Professionals (ALPFA), Latine Student Union (LSU), and other student orgs holding club meetings in the space. There's also a lot happening this quarter:

Join ACC and LSU for a collaborative heritage dinner that celebrates AfroLatinidad! For event details, ticket information, and more, follow ACC and LSU on Instagram @accwwu @wwulsu.

Ridin' Low in the 360 (hosted by Latine Men in Higher Education and MEChA) - Sunday, May 17 from 11am-4pm. For event details, follow LMHE and MEChA on Instagram @lmhewwu @mechaenwwu.

La Plaza's Si Se Pudo Celebration of Graduates - Friday, June 12th from 5:30-8pm, VU MPR. Join us for La Plaza's 2nd Annual Celebration of Graduates, open to all graduating students and their families while centering Latine identities, this event is hosted in both English and Spanish. As always, La Plaza is here for you, whether you're coming by for an event, a coffee or snack, to chat with our staff, or if you just want a space to be in community. Hope to see you soon!
