Mission

The Gender Liberation Resource Center supports and enables students who hold marginalized gender identities and expressions to fully and actively participate on WWU's campus. We strive to build a community that promotes: exploration of identities through an intersectional lens; solidarity against violence; and critical thinking around gender, race, culture, and other aspects of identity and social issues. We invite you to join us in our resistance.

Safe space to express yourself

At the Gender Liberation Resource Center (GLRC) we pride ourselves on providing a space where everyone feels like they can talk about controversial and sometimes delicate womxn's issues. We insure a confidential and non-biased environment where everyone is welcome. We are an office run by dedicated students, we do our best to provide you the space and support you need. If we are unable to provide that for you, we will work in providing you the best resources on campus or in Bellingham.

Creative Programming

Labyrinth 1976-2016

Labyrinth, was the 39 year old publication sponsored by WWU’s Womxn’s Center. It’s changed a lot. This publication has broadened its definition and scope of audience and content and came to showcase a great array of lives and experiences over the half century it’s lived.

Starting from a group of dedicated women in the 1976, Labyrinth got its start as a journal exclusively for the female-identified. It was later open to more than the female-identified experience and became a place of varied perspectives of marginalized identities, intersections, and experiences.

As an office we came to understand the changing needs of marginalized genders on our campus. We made the hard decision of no longer producing Labyrinth. Below you can find previous issues of the publication.

TRIGGER WARNING

All editions of Labyrinth contain strong language, nudity, and graphic content. Content, subjects, and topics of issues vary by year.
